2024 Hyundai Santa Fe to make U.S. debut in Los Angeles

The redesigned Santa Fe has a boxier new design and a sleeker cabin with a 12.3-inch display
The Los Angeles Auto Show begins November 16, and Hyundai This is a US-spec Santa Fe using the event.

The redesigned crossover is expected to hit dealerships in the first half of 2024, following the Korean version introduced this summer. This gives the model a boxy design with sharp lines, prominent fender flares and a striking lighting unit with H-shaped graphics.

In addition to its bold new appearance, the 2024 Santa Fe is larger than its predecessor as the model is 190.2 inches (4,830 mm) long and has a wheelbase of 110.8 inches (2,815 mm). These are increases of 1.8 inches and 1.9 inches (46 mm, 48 mm) respectively. The
exterior design may be criticized, but the cabin is an undisputed hit. Details are expected to be announced next week, but expect a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a 6.6-inch display for climate controls. It will also be equipped with dual wireless smartphone chargers, a digital rearview mirror, and "multi-console storage compartments on both sides that can be opened by both front and rear passengers."

Speaking of the latter, passengers in the second row have up to 35 mm more legroom. Third-row passengers enjoy best-in-class headroom and an additional 15mm of legroom. You can also expect an extensive list of driver assistance systems, including
Collision Avoidance Assistant, Lane Following Assistant, Highway Driving Assistant, and Intelligent Cruise Control. Also included is a remote smart parking assistant, cross-traffic avoidance assistant, safe exit assistant and surround view monitor. The Santa Fe will also be the first Hyundai vehicle in the U.S. to be equipped with a driver monitoring system that "analyzes the driver's vital signs to ensure safe driving."

Hyundai offers two different engines for the U.S. model, including a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 277 horsepower (207 kW / 281 hp) and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque. We have already confirmed that. There's also a hybrid 1.6-liter turbo with 178 hp (132 kW / 180 hp) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm) of torque.
